Install WayMates and create an account. Then tap I have a code and enter the 6-character code your driver sent you. You can also paste the whole invite message: the app finds the code in it.

Each code belongs to one person and is used once. Check it with your driver: codes never contain 0, O, 1, I or L, so a letter that looks like one of them is another. If you left the group or deleted your account, ask your driver for your code again.

Create an account and tap I’m the driver (or New group). Add your pickup points and the friends you take along: each friend gets an invite code to join from their phone. Friends without the app still count, and you can answer for them.

Open the group, tap ⋮ at the top, then Leave the group. Your rides and payments stay on record with your driver, and you can come back later with an invite code from them.

In My groups, tap your photo in the corner, then Your profile, and Delete account at the bottom. It asks for your password. Groups you drive are deleted for everyone in them; in groups you ride in, the driver keeps your rides and payments under the name they gave you. Can’t sign in? Write to us from your account’s email address. More in the Privacy Policy.

• In My groups, tap your photo: Notifications shows whether they are on, and opens your phone’s settings to turn them on.
• Check that a Focus mode or Do Not Disturb isn’t holding them back, and that WayMates is up to date.
• Signing out stops notifications on that phone until you sign in again.
• If you ride from time to time, you are notified only about the trips you are on: tap “I’ll be there” to join one.

No. WayMates is free, and it doesn’t handle money: drivers who share the costs record what each friend paid. Many drivers take their friends for free, and everything works the same without a price.

iPhone (iOS 15 or later) and Android phones; the live trip card on the Lock Screen needs iOS 18. WayMates speaks English, Arabic and Turkish: change the language from your photo in My groups.
